This is an ok book, not great or exciting. The mystery wanders on with no clear resolution until the end. I guess at some point the author got tired and had to end it. The mystery did not really make much sense. The author wants you think he knows Italy but then in this book he makes some errors that s first time visitor to Italy would not make.He calls pecorino a goat cheese. It is not a goat cheese it is 100% sheep milk cheese. Then a little while later he has young men rolling a botte up a steep hill in Montalcino. But not so, this happens in Montepulciano.So is his knowledge of Italy from books? Ok. Someone will argue the names are close. The wines made in each town are different and both are famous wines in Italy. However, the cheese? A worthy follow-on to "Cold Tuscan Stone." Again we have a vicarious experience of Italian people, food, language, and sites while being pulled along by the story, and wondering which of the various characters is the bad guy. This entertaining novel offers more than entertainment.
